Truth – I Can Feel it in my Bones

by Sarah Davis, Goonellabah NSW

Recently, a young women said something to me that I felt to be true. I have shared this in a piece called ‘The Truth of Love – Equally for All’. As a result, I found myself reflecting on what it was like to feel truth.

I knew at the time that what this young woman shared with me was true, as I could feel it in my whole body; I felt it as a “yes, I know that”. There was a feeling akin to ‘relief’ in my body; of something brought to my awareness that I wasn’t even fully aware I had lost. Upon hearing the truth in her words, I felt more complete, whole, more connected to a sense of the depths of ‘me’. Continue reading “Truth – I Can Feel it in my Bones”

The Truth of Love – Equally for All

by Sarah Davis, Goonellabah NSW

A lovely and wise young woman recently said to me that “the love I was holding back was not actually mine to hold back – that love is for all, equally”. This was in the context of a group discussion of how we ‘hold back’ expressing love, our true essence, in life.

When the young woman said these words it was like I had a ‘high speed download’ – or what some may call a ‘moment of revelation’ – where my understanding in one moment expanded. I immediately felt how the nature of love is unity, equality – that it cannot be separated – it cannot be for one person and not the other, it is always for All – without exception. Aid, Corruption, Abuse and War – closer to you than you might think?

by Zofia, London

There was a major feature-length BBC4 documentary broadcast in December 2012 – “The Trouble With Aid”, and in it were longstanding senior members/General Director of leading charities from Medecins Sans Frontiers, Oxfam and others, who were exposing the rot and corruption that existed with (millions of) monies donated by ordinary people like us to such charities – money designed to help countries suffering from poignant natural disasters/famines etc.

The program told the stories of those who had gone out to the conflict zones to help humanity, and actually what really happened behind the scenes with such humanitarian disasters over the last 50 years, including – the Biafran War, Ethiopian famine, military intervention in Somalia, and also Afghanistan today. Stillness and Aloneness

by Anne Malatt, Australia

I used to think I had to be alone to be myself.

When I was with others, I was always trying to fit in with them, calibrating myself to them, measuring myself to make sure they (and I) were comfortable.

I was an expert at this, but it could get confusing.  I was such a chameleon that I could not be with more than one of my friends at a time, for I was a completely different person with each one of them! Continue reading “Stillness and Aloneness”

The Unspoken Rules of Inequality within Family, Tradition and Religion

For most of my life I have been scared to speak out. Yet there is nothing more I wish to do than to express. I know expression is all there is.

Most of my growing up was spent in silence. I felt I could not say the things I wished to, for no-one would understand. As a little girl, I spoke with myself all the time in English (Cantonese is my mother tongue). When I ran into situations where I needed guidance, I would ask the questions out loud, and the answers would come from within.

My entire family, for generations, have been Christians, but since I was young, I felt there were too many discrepancies in what was preached and in how they lived – something just did not add up. Why would I repeatedly feel their judgement when I was not living perfectly within their ideal, when they advocated ‘no judgement lest you wish to be judged’? A Man in the World: No More Playing Roles

by Raymond Karam, Goonellabah

It seems for so long now I have been an actor in the world. I have filled many roles and have been improving each performance with a more measured and perfect one.

A few months ago I sat down with a few mates and we started talking about how we were feeling. This was a different kind of sit-down for me. It was informal – no alcohol, no sport – just men sharing how they were feeling and what they had been doing. Continue reading “A Man in the World: No More Playing Roles”

Letters of Support for Belinda-Jane Hodgson & Esoteric Soulutions in Response to Media Reports (Part 5)

In November 2012 a well respected Esoteric Practitioner in Mackay became the target of illegal activity aimed at bringing disrepute to her business, the local paper then published a story… Rather than the intended harm, the illegal attack prompted an outpouring of support from the local community. Many appreciative clients sent letters to the paper both before and after the story went to print. The following are a selection of letters that the paper received.

I have never heard of anything so ridiculous as to call Esoteric Soulutions and Universal Medicine a cult. I ring to make an appointment, no different than when I visit my GP or dentist. How is this being in a cult, and what happened to free will?

Obviously there are some very sad people who have dreamt up this idea, who don’t want to take responsibility for their own actions and want to blame everyone else. There is nothing wrong with looking after yourself and being responsible for your own actions. Any treatment that myself and my family has had by Esoteric Soulutions has only ever helped and made our lives better. We are all living happy lives and making our own decisions. Doesn’t sound like a cult to me. Continue reading “Letters of Support for Belinda-Jane Hodgson & Esoteric Soulutions in Response to Media Reports (Part 5)”

I am deeply saddened by the constant bullying and misleading allegations made about both Universal Medicine and Esoteric Soulutions here in Mackay. I have been a client of Esoteric Soulutions for 10 years, and have attended both the Universal Medicine clinic in Brisbane and Universal Medicine in Goonellabah for the past 3 years.

I don’t believe enough true journalistic reporting has been made on the positive stories about the thousands of people whose lives have been improved immensely since being involved with both Universal Medicine and Esoteric Soulutions.  I feel the people who are making these false claims toward Belinda-Jane are imposing their personal issues onto her and Universal Medicine. I’m writing in regards to the article about Universal Medicine and Belinda-Jane Hodgson, published on the 3rd of November 2012. I have had nothing but complete love and support from anyone associated with Universal Medicine, including those that are not practitioners.

I’m seventeen and have been attending universal medicine courses for a little over a year now… I don’t drink anymore, or smoke, or stay out late. I eat what makes me feel good and go to bed early. I am more open with people and have made better friends than I would have beforehand. I don’t have glandular fever, and have stopped making myself throw up because I thought I wasn’t good enough. I’ve stopped partying, getting smashed and having sex with people I regret the next day. How is any of this bad? You may say that these are normal teenager things, but why? Why is destroying yourself a normal thing? Continue reading “Letters of Support for Belinda-Jane Hodgson & Esoteric Soulutions in Response to Media Reports (Part 3)”

I wish to respond to a recent article that your newspaper printed on the 3rd of November 2012 concerning Universal Medicine and a local business, Esoteric Soulutions, regarding unsubstantiated claims they are part of a large cult movement.

What I find truly amazing is the furore that has been created by a small group of disgruntled people and that newspapers find this newsworthy. I have been privy to a number of newspaper articles, including yours, that have yet to print a balanced, honest and truthful account of Universe Medicine healing practice and the practitioners associated with it.
